There are two locations at UW Medical Center – Northwest for patients receiving oncology care:

  • Outpatient care is provided at Fred Hutch at UW Medical Center – Northwest, for adults who need outpatient oncology treatment and supportive care services. 
  • The inpatient oncology unit at UW Medical Center – Northwest is primarily for solid tumor and select lymphoma patients and providing inpatient chemotherapy.  

Your cancer care may be provided by either Fred Hutch or UW Medical Center. Either way, you’ll receive care based on treatment standards developed and overseen by Fred Hutch.

Driving Directions and Parking

Directions to Fred Hutch at UW Medical Center – Northwest

Fred Hutch at UW Medical Center – Northwest is in the Medical Office Building. 

From northbound I-5

  • Take exit 173 for Northgate Way/1st Ave. NE. 
  • Exit I-5 from the far right lane.
  • Turn left at the end of the ramp onto 1st Ave. NE.
  • Stay in one of the left two lanes while traveling one block to N. Northgate Way. 
  • Turn left onto N. Northgate Way.
  • After 0.5 mile, turn right onto Meridian Ave. N. 
  • Travel on Meridian Ave. N until you reach N. 115th St.
  • Turn left onto N. 115th St.
  • The main entrance to the campus is on your right; enter there.
  • The Medical Office Building is the first building on your right. 

From southbound I-5 

  • Take exit 173 for Northgate Way/1st Ave. NE. 
  • Exit I-5 from the far right lane. 
  • Turn right onto N. Northgate Way.
  • Beginning at step 6, follow the directions above.

Directions to Inpatient Oncology Unit at UW Medical Center – Northwest

The inpatient oncology unit is in the UW Medical Center – Northwest East Wing building.  

  • Follow the directions above to reach the UW Medical Center – Northwest campus.
  • From the main hospital entrance continue straight.
  • Turn right after the Medical Office Building.
  • Continue past the main hospital building and turn left.
  • Follow the roadway as it curves around the B-Wing. You will pass parking lots D, E and F.
  • The road will turn right when you pass Lot F.
  • Follow the road until it ends in Lot G. Park in Lot G.
  • The E-Wing will be on your right.
  • Use the North entrance to enter the inpatient oncology unit.
     

Parking

Fred Hutch at UW Medical Center – Northwest: Parking is available in the lot next to the Medical Office Building.

Inpatient oncology unit: Parking for inpatients and visitors is available in Lot G at the north entrance of the East Wing building.
