Reducing Inequities by Promoting Participatory Learning Experiences in Science (“RIPPLES”) aims to create an justice-centered, equity-focused cancer curriculum for high school and middle school that provides scientific, social, and environmental context for disparities and emphasizes the social determinants of health.
This program began in May 2024 and builds on SEP's successes with our previous SEPA award, Frontiers in Cancer Research. During summer 2024, the RIPPLES curriculum writing team, comprised of middle school and high school science teachers, will be working to develop lessons and activities for field-testing in fall 2024.
