Dr. Eric Chow is an expert in cancer survivorship. He focuses on survivors of childhood cancers and survivors of blood stem cell transplantation of all ages. His goal is to help these survivors live healthier lives by better preventing, detecting and treating late effects of cancer therapies. In particular, he identifies risk factors that are linked to heart disease and other cardiovascular complications in cancer survivors. These may include medication regimens, genetics and health conditions like obesity. His research ranges from large-scale analyses of medical records data to clinical trials of health-promoting interventions.
