Dr. Jordan Gauthier is developing and improving cellular immunotherapies for people with blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma. These therapies include blood stem cell transplantation and a genetically modified immune cell therapy called chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy (or CAR T-cell therapy). In addition to designing and conducting clinical trials, Dr. Gauthier builds innovative statistical and machine-learning models to predict patient outcomes on these therapies. Web applications and other new tools he develops will help doctors and patients understand and predict how well cellular therapy will work for them. Dr. Gauthier is also a hematologist-oncologist who cares for patients with blood cancers, especially those undergoing transplant or immunotherapy.
