Clinical Research Division, Fred Hutch
Dr. Cristina Rodriguez researches and treats cancers of the head and neck. She leads clinical trials that explore how to incorporate targeted therapies into current treatment standards. Dr. Rodriguez has a particular interest in improving outcomes for squamous cell carcinomas of the head and neck, salivary gland cancers and thyroid cancers that no longer respond to radioactive iodine therapy. She also explores ways to reduce racial and economic disparities for these cancers, many of which involve modifiable risk factors such as smoking, alcohol and human papillomavirus infections.
