I have been working at Fred Hutch since the summer of 2022 providing genetic counseling for a variety of hereditary cancer syndromes with a focus in breast and gynecological cancer syndromes. I see patients at the South Lake Union Clinic and Fred Hutch at EvergreenHealth. Prior to working at Fred Hutch, I worked in clinical research investigating the underlying causes of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia at Columbia University.
I became a genetic counselor because I want to help people understand and integrate complex genetic information into their lives. My favorite aspect about working with patients is building relationships with them and their families and helping them be proactive about cancer prevention and surveillance. I have a special interest in Indigenous-led genetic and genomic health initiatives and improving genetic health care access and delivery to Indigenous populations.
Outside of work, I enjoy being outside (running, skiing, hiking, etc.) with my two dogs and spending time with my friends and family.
Patient Care Philosophy
Integrating the principles of narrative medicine, I prioritize understanding each patient's story while empowering them with accurate and accessible information for genetic testing decision-making.
