I have worked in oncology since 2013 and joined Fred Hutch in 2021. I see patients at Fred Hutch Cancer Center – South Lake Union and also via telehealth.
I am a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) which means I have expertise in enteral nutrition (tube feedings) and parenteral nutrition (IV nutrition). I have a special interest in assessment and preservation of body mass during cancer treatment.
I love food! I enjoy cooking and trying new foods. This led to my desire to understand the science behind cooking and nutrition. I love hearing what people eat and enjoy learning the ways food is important to them. I also enjoy learning about different cultural foods. I learn so much at work! My most rewarding work is helping people find relief from their symptoms with diet adjustments.
Outside of work I enjoy hiking, biking, running, swimming, gardening, cooking, sewing and knitting – a long list so I have options no matter the weather outside!
Clinical Expertise
I support patients within the thoracic, head and neck and gastrointestinal disease groups.
Patient Care Philosophy
I try not to set too much of an agenda before a patient visit to allow primary concerns from you, the patient, drive the conversation. My recommendations are as much tailored to your disease and treatment plan as it is your lifestyle, food preferences and any bothersome symptoms.
I approach food as fuel to help you tolerate your treatment plan, whatever that may be. My goal is to keep you as strong and healthy as possible during your treatment – and that looks different for everyone.
