Rae Wiseman

A portrait of Rae Wiseman.

From an early age, I found myself pondering the meaning of existence, asking unanswerable questions and marveling at the awe of the universe. Having a connection to something greater than myself has always helped me hold peace with the unknown.

I enjoy working with patients to make space for the challenging experiences of life and getting to learn about how each unique person shapes their understanding of the sacred and transcendent. Sharing compassionate space with others who are grappling with challenges and trying to connect to love, joy and peace has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life.

I have worked at the South Lake Union Clinic since 2018. I specialize in working with patients with breast cancer, sarcoma, thoracic cancer, head and neck cancer, melanoma, renal cell cancer, skin cancers and gynecologic cancers.

In my free time, I like to play the accordion, ride my bike and take my Yorkie to the dog park. I have a passion for learning about physics, biology, chemistry and philosophy.

Patient Care Philosophy

I facilitate an accepting environment for patients and caregivers to process challenging experiences through active listening and reflection.
