Radiation Oncology

“I know that when patients and their loved ones are making treatment decisions, a lot of thought is going into it. It can be a challenge to juggle everything, and I want patients to know I’m here for them. They are not alone.”

— Dr. Ni

What do you value about your work and what brought you to it?

I am deeply inspired by the resilience of patients going through cancer treatment. It is a privilege to guide them through treatment options, discussing the benefits and side effects, and helping them feel confident with their decisions. I decided to specialize in radiation oncology in part due to my background in biomedical engineering, so the technological innovations within this area of practice are especially exciting to me.

What drew you to Fred Hutch?

I am drawn to how passionate my colleagues are about fostering a collaborative environment and furthering innovative research. I was also looking for an organization where team members are kind, compassionate, and prioritize quality interdisciplinary patient care. At Fred Hutch, I truly value the entire healthcare team’s dedication to guiding patients through their treatment and supporting them every step of the way.

Provider Background

Area of Clinical Practice
Proton therapy, radiation oncology

I am a radiation oncologist who sees patients at Fred Hutch Cancer Center - Proton Therapy and Fred Hutch at UW Medical Center - Montlake.

Having had multiple family members go through cancer treatment and treatment for other serious illnesses, I understand the importance of having an empathetic and compassionate physician who is also informed by the latest data. I encourage patients and their loved ones to ask questions at any time, recognizing that navigating the vast amount of information can be overwhelming.
