Working With Us
We offer proteomics and metabolomics services to researchers throughout the Fred Hutch/University of Washington Cancer Consortium as well as outside institutions and companies.
All core instruments are solely operated by our staff. While we operate on a fee-for-service model, we take a very collaborative approach in working with users of the core. The best results occur when we understand the goal of the project, agree upon the methods, agree upon the sample preparation and data collection strategy, and have a strong vision of the data analysis that will be needed. We highly encourage you to contact us early in the experimental design process to increase the likelihood of a successful experiment.
We use iLab for billing and sample tracking. When you are ready to work with us, register an account with the site followed by a request for service. Review these instructions:
For non-Fred Hutch users, payment for services is made through either institutional/company purchase orders (PO#) or credit cards. A purchase order or credit card number must be on file before we start services. We are happy to provide quotes for expected services, when requested.
Please notify the resource when sample are shipped. Fred Hutch does not receive shipments on weekends. Samples shipped on ice or dry ice should be sent via overnight delivery with arrival at Fred Hutch on Tuesday through Friday. Our shipping address is:

We will notify users, usually through a message in iLab, when samples arrive. Core staff will contact users if any questions arise throughout the experiment. Results will be communicated through e-mail at the end of the experiment.
